Demoscene
The best decision after years of analyzing software in the scene was to make art instead of reading programs of others. I started to within cRo in 2007 (http://www.chemical-reaction.org/). There was not to much todo for me except the cRo-Viewer which has been released in 2010.
I was proud about, cause i developed nearly one year on it in my spare time but i felt there is a big hole for me at cRo. As the only active coder i got not perspective to get more knowledge. After releasing the art pack i spoked with irokos, the leader of titandemo (http://www.titandemo.org) and he asked me the right question.
“You want to learn stuff? Join le titan!”
Simple but quite effective. After hundreds of lines i finally got my ass up and spoked to the leader of cRo (amgits). He was not amused but i understood my wish to get more into demos. Since more then 10 years iam addicted to this little programs which has a minimum amount of size and that fantastic output on running them. After some days i was invited to the member channel and everyone, except iks, welcomed me.
A total new experience for me. The most people i know from the warez scene wasted their and my time mostly with stuff like
“i made this this this this…and i have this this this this.. and you are… nothing”.
At titan its more like
“serious, you have no idea but i will take some serious time to show you how things getting done”
I felt really familiar and this feeling has been exploded at the Evoke 2011 where neoman and me released our Cracktro “core25k” which has won in the 64k section. Almost 17 titan members has been there. From germany, ireland, france and netherlands. It was so amazing! 3 days of party, conversations and demo hacking. A weekend which changed a lot in me and around me.
Back in munich i wanted more and i found “Widdy” who told me that we have a “Stammtisch” in munich where sceners met every first wednesday in the month. Another amazing experience for me. 20 people and all got the same reason why the met… Demos, demos and demos. Some people played chiptunes and C64 demos over 4 hours. Other people started discussion about new shaders and technologies i never heard before. A kind of experience you dont make every time in your life for sure
At moment iam concentrating myself to make more music tracks and hopefully i get the chance to make some more noise for demo productions or even games. Iam looking forward for a lot more demopartys in the upcoming years.
This is everything i can tell you at moment. Hopefully its getting more
Thank you for reading!
